The Challenge
Interfilm travelled to Iraqi Kurdistan to document the vital work of the Mine Action Agency - clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance left from decades of conflict.
Filming in active mine clearance zones demanded extreme safety awareness and sensitivity toward the communities affected by the legacy of war.
The Solution
Pre-Production: Security briefings, safety training, and logistics coordination with the Mine Action Agency for access to operational clearance zones.
Production: Interfilm filmed the dangerous day-to-day work of deminers, interviews with affected families, and drone footage of the scarred landscapes - always under strict safety protocols.
